Printing Speed
As per claims, the Ender 5 S1 printer has a speed of up to 250 mm/s. Creality has picked up the game of speedy prints, however, is the 250 mm/s as it is being portrayed? let’s find out. First of all, the speed of printing will greatly depend on the size and shape of the print. This means that when printing minute designs the printer will have to stop and speed up from time to time. It can be easily understood from the example of a race car that can speed up to very high levels, however, around the corners, it will have to slow down.
Furthermore, the setting of the Creality Slicer is set to 120 mm/s for materials like PLA, PETG, and ABS. Therefore, the user will have to manually increase the speed up to 250 mm/s. Summing up, the claim of 250 mm/s is relative in terms and will depend on a lot of factors including the size and shape of the print. However, there is a substantial time saving when compared with its predecessors like Ender 3 S1.
Sprite Direct Drive Extruder of the Ender 5 S1
The Ender 5 S1 3D Printer With Sonic Pad is offering a revamped print head setup. This printer features the Sprite extruder which claims to complement the fast printing speeds on offer by the company. For consistent fast printing, the melting of filament is very critical. Accordingly, the heater head is installed at the top of the hot end. As such, you need to take care of the longer nozzle required to reach up to the enlarged heater block.
Furthermore, the cold end has also been beefed up. Due to the larger surface area, heat dissipation has improved. The Ender 5 S1 3D Printer With Sonic Pad’s hot end is all metal so it is expected that the temperatures will soar up to 300 °C. Due to the higher temperature, it is possible for the users to use more professional filaments like polycarbonate, nylon, etc.
Cube Design
The Ender 5 S1 has a cube shape which allows it to operate stably at higher printing speeds. In addition to the aluminum extrusion bracket forming the skeleton of the printer, additional plastic crossbars have been added to the structure. However, it would have been better if metallic crossbars were used as the rest of the structure is of metal.
Build Volume
The Ender 5 S1 3D printer has a build volume of 220 mm x 220 mm x 280 mm. Compared to the Ender 3 S1, this build volume is a little larger. As a result of the change in extruder design of the Ender 5 original version, there is a loss of 20 mm in length compared to the new version.
Print Bed
The print bed of the Ender 5 S1 is like the other in the S1 series. As per reports of users, the adhesion was very good with constant temperature throughout the bed. As per claims, the bed has the capability to reach temperatures of around 110 C.
Levelling
The levelling in Ender includes the CR touch levelling probe. When you use the automatic levelling process the CR touch will come into play. The CR touch works at 16 points. However, due to the resetting procedure, the bed travels all the way down to the end of the Z-axis and then back again. Therefore, some of the users have complained that the levelling procedure is a bit time-consuming.
Controlling the Ender 5 S1
Ender 5 S1 3D Printer With Sonic Pad has a 4.3-inch color touch screen for the HMI. The screen offers options for printing and setting up the printer. It’s easy to navigate around the screen and access the different features on offer by Creality. However, the position of the screen is such that maintaining it becomes an issue at times.
Motors and Motherboard
The Ender 5 S1 is fitted with the 32-bit motherboard (ARM STM32F401 CPU) and silent stepper motors (TMC 2209). This combination is very common now and Creality has used it even in its other versions. As per the claims of Creality, it also supports Klipper firmware via Creality’s Sonic Pad. This can further increase the print speed and performance of the printer.
Acrylic Enclosure
Creality is also offering an Acrylic enclosure (Optional) for Ender 5 S1 users. As per the company’s claims, the enclosure offers multiple benefits for the users. Such as it gives an appealing look to the printer. Also, the enclosure allows for even heat distribution within the building area. The enclosure also insulated much of the noise of printing and allows for a smooth and silent printing function. Moreover, the enclosure protects the print area from dust and therefore, ensures that the quality of the print is exquisite. The enclosure is easy to install and can be fitted in a very short time. So, the users can opt for this optional feature when procuring the Ender 5 S1 3D printer .
Big Cooling Fan
The cooling fan on the Ender 5 S1 3D printer has been redesigned to increase effectiveness. Firstly, the fan has been upgraded from the 4010 version used in the other S1 variants to the 5015 version. This fan is not only more powerful but also is placed optimally to cool the print. Since the company is claiming faster prints, it had to come up with an effective cooling solution which it seemingly has. Also, the dual fan shroud allows more effective cooling.
Creality Ender 5 S1 3D Printer The Sonic Pad
And now folks it’s time to discuss the much-talked-about Sonic Pad. The Sonic Pad (optional) has a 7-inch display which is powered by the Klipper firmware. The Sonic Pad can control 4 printers at the same time. This means that you can work with multiple printers at the same time. Creality Sonic pad also supports the G-Code model preview when slicing with Creality print, Ultimaker Cura, Pursa Slicer, and Super Slicer. In addition, the Sonic Pad supports user-defined programmable macros.
These Macros can help in combining different commands to a specific function for higher efficiency. Furthermore, you have the option to control the Sonic Pad through the touch screen and from the web browser to a LAN. You can also upgrade the OS of the Sonic Pad by using either USB or online via the OTA. In short, the Ender 5 S1 3D Printer With Sonic Pad enables you to explore multiple options for printing with ease and smoothness.

Featured 3D Prints
A variety of 3D models from Cults, Thangs, and Thingiverse will be used in the review process in order to make sure that everything is correct. I would like to share with you a list of who invented the model and where you can find it to print for yourself in case you like what you see. Creality Rainbow PLA and Creality PLA Grey 3D printer filaments will be used to print 3D objects on the Creality Ender 5 S1 3D printer.
If you want to add spice to the mix, you could look for a machine that prints high temperature and abrasive filament. This includes ASA, NYLONX, ABS and other advanced materials. With the Creality Ender 5 S1, it is possible to achieve this with the help of a more wear resistant nozzle such as a hardened steel nozzle. This will enable you to cater for a broader variety of 3D printer filaments. This is due to the fact that the Creality Ender 5 S1 only comes with a standard 0.4 brass nozzle, which is not suitable for producing consistent results.
In the addition to this, you will also need to provide the 3D printer with some sort of enclosure. This is so that you can create a warm environment for the materials, which desperately need a warm environment. Why then, would it not be a good idea to add the acrylic enclosure with the top cover to the Ender 5 S1? As a result of this, the temperature will remain more constant, the noise will be reduced, and dust will be kept out of the system. The installation process is also quite simple, and it does not take a lot of time to get it installed.
Swirling Leaves Vase
This exquisite vase draws inspiration from the graceful movement of autumn leaves as they twirl in the wind. To bring out its full beauty, we recommend printing it in vase mode using the spiralise option.
Tmnt Bust Fan Art
With this figure, I took a darker and more serious approach that aligned with the tone of the original comics, as opposed to the light-hearted 90's movie and toy adaptations. While I didn't have a specific Turtle in mind while creating it, I've decided to name it Rafael, as it sits prominently on my shelf.

The can holder is designed to perfectly fit normal beverage cans with a maximum diameter of 66.00 mm, which includes all normal 330ml or 500ml cans. Additionally, it can also accommodate any glass or cup with the corresponding dimensions. There are two versions of the can holder available: a simple version with a slightly rougher texture and a curved version. Both versions feature an opening in the base to prevent the can from becoming stuck due to negative pressure and to ensure that the holder remains in place.
Fantasy Library Castle
This fantasy building is truly magnificent. It was initially designed to be a library, but its versatility allows for it to be easily repurposed for any use. What's even better is that this design can be printed without the need for any additional support structures.
Conclusion
In the category of Cartesian 3D printers that aren't bed slingers, the Creality Ender 5 S1 is priced at $559. While I anticipated a larger print volume, it features impressive hardware. Pairing it with the Creality Sonic Pad significantly enhances performance, offering networking capabilities and control for up to four printers simultaneously. Overall, the Ender 5 series update reflects Creality's commitment to intelligent upgrades. Though the Ender 5 S1's frame resembles CoreXY designs, it uses standard Cartesian kinematics with independent steppers for the X and Y axes. The Ender 5 S1 is among the best options on the market, and users will likely be satisfied when combined with the Sonic Pad.
